Harrison Art League July Art Show!!!

Saturday, July 1st 9am-12pm and Monday, July 3rd 10am-12pm will be the drop off date for artwork for the July art show in the upstairs atrium of the Boone County Library and will be shown all month

This show (2 paintings per artist)is free to HAL members, $20 for non-members, $15 for non-member youth, and the 3 categories are:
Youth (under 18)
Novice Artist
Experienced Artist

The Harrison Art League met May 8th to present Genevieve Fancher Art Scholarships for 2017. This year there were three scholarships given out, the largest amount that HAL has ever awarded. Zoe Dechambre from Harrison High School (teacher A. Harris) to major in digital design, Scarlett King of Valley Springs High School (teacher L. Jones) to major in art therapy, and Hailey Perronne of Flippin High School (teacher C. Bladsel) to major in art education.
(Each were awarded $400, funded by HAL, and with thanks to HAL members: J.K. Fancher, Jim Hubrick, and Jennifer Bartlett)

Dear friends of the arts,
Keep sending those recipes and images for The Artists’ Cookbook, our fund raiser
for our gallery advertising,  juror awards, etc.  What a great opportunity for everyone to be involved including  our 
HAL artists and friends who aren’t usually able to participate in meetings and events. This is something we can all contribute to. 
Don’t cook? Raid a friend or relative’s recipe box - for a good cause, of course.
We’d like our artists and friends to contribute at least 5 recipes - more if you have them. Our tentative categories are:
Main Dishes and Casseroles
Breads and Rolls
Desserts
Appetizers and Beverages
Salads and Sides
Soups
