I started painting as a Senior Citizen and have painted for three years. The last year I have taken lessons from Duane Hada here in Mountain Home. I paint in Acrylic and use scenes from life. I have done commissioned work as well as a volume of work hanging in our home.
Prior to becoming a practicing artist I raised and showed dairy goats, taught learning disability students, raised racing Whippets and showed Afghan Hounds. I moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas to be near the fishing spots we had grown to love and to enjoy the wonderful weather. Together with my husband Bruce and our Jack Russel Terrier Bella, I collect Iris varieties and Day Lilies. Accustomed to an active life style, we are in the process of making garden beds in the yard which seems to include the invention of soil made from rocks and compost.
