About Me

A lifelong artist, I work mainly in oils & pastels and sometimes colored pencil, graphite pencil & acrylics.  Love painting wildlife & landscapes and have done many portraits.  I recently stepped down as president of the Delray Art league, a large league here in Florida due to time.  I am now the secretary.  I do 12-15 local art festivals annually.

Before moving to Florida I raised cattle, along with the usual chickens, pigs, horses, sheep and peacocks..  I absolutely love the Florida weather but miss the quiet, peaceful farm life.  it is possible that I may be moving to the Harrison area in 2014.  If that happens I would love to be active with your league.

About Me

In 2014, my husband, David and I are moving to Harrison, Arkansas from Tequesta, Florida.  We're looking forward to our new home in Arkansas!  I'm interested in networking with other artists!  I am currently expanding my art business, Wildlife in Watercolors from a part-time to full-time business.  My primary art media is watercolor.  The art business expansion includes offering watercolor and drawing classes to individuals and groups.

I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Education from University of North Texas, Denton, Texas.  In Texas, I worked as an elementary school art teacher.

I am a member of the Mid-Southern Watercolorists and Eureka Springs Artists Registry, www.eurekaspringsartists.com.  My watercolor painting, Buffalo River, America's First National River was in the 2013 Mid-Southern Watercolorists Annual Exhibition and was selected to participate in the Arkansas Arts Center's State Traveling Exhibition until June 2014.

About Me

E&J’s Groovy Tuesdays Tie Dye is mine, Elisabeth, and my husband's, Jason, wonderful expression of art. We create hand crafted, exceptional quality, tie dye clothing and accessories.

I am a full-time Mother, Wife, and Tie Dye Artist. My Husband, Jason, is a Engineering Student at the University of Arkansas. We greatly appreciate all of your support of our tie dye business.

We started out tie dyeing in 2005. It has kind of become our passion and obsession. We love adding color to the world.

We are featured artists of the Dharma Trading Company,

http://www.dharmatrading.com/featured/528/

We travel to various art shows and festivals throughout the year.

We create a wide variety of designs and styles. And we invest a great deal of care and pride into each of our tie dyes. All of our garments are hand designed, tied, and dyed. Which makes each a special, one of a kind work of art.

Quality is extremely important to us, which is why E&J's uses the highest quality dyes and materials to create our one of a kind tie dyes.

We would love to hear from ya if you have any comments or questions. We do create custom orders. Just drop us a line.

We Live to Dye

Much Love.

Elisabeth and Jason

About Me

I am a very cerebral, almost analytical, painter. I believe that direction and method of brushwork is as important to a composition as are color, value, edge, and form. In other words, the manner in which paint is applied is as important as what paint is applied and where it is applied. I seek to achieve a rhythmic and lyrical quality to my work, both by standard methods of color placement, value variation and form but in the directivity of brushwork. The fine details of my techniques are in constant evolution as my knowledge of the physics and chemistry of my medium grow.

I am also currently experimenting with introducing non-interpretational messaging into pieces of a more abstract nature but which stand on their own, regardless of message, as a wholly satisfactory design.

Though not born in Arkansas, I consider myself a native: both of my parents are Arkansas born and basically all of my childhood was spent here. My roots run deep in Newton and Searcy Counties. I spent many hours of my formative years drawing and roaming on our cattle farm in Boone County. I indulged a love of art and a desire to learn to paint as a very young teen by taking my only lessons in Harrison, AR. Aside from these lessons which mostly covered perspective drawing, I am self taught. After receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas, I moved my young family to the suburbs of Washington D.C. to pursue a career with NASA. I have designed, built, and operated systems in orbit around Earth and soon to be on their way to Mars.

I am now in my second year of working as a semi-professional artist.
